@lgriffin @eric.howe I support @stubberm's classes and for the one that runs January to May, her students made it about 66% through, with the farthest student completing 75%.
Depending on how often the course meets, and the student's motivation, I've seen a variety of schedules with all different results. My favorite was seeing a 1-month summer class finish 100% of the Intro to CS course. Granted, they met every day, and for quite some time.
If you're struggling to decide between offering the course as a semester or the full year, consider this: What are your expectations and goals for the class? Is this the main curriculum or is it supplementing something else? By the end of the course, where do you want your students to be?
By answering those questions, you can better shape your picture of success and plan to get there.
