I am using Google Chrome, just like I did last year.
What used to happen last year is that when the user entered something in the dialog box, the program would run and anything printed to the console would appear. This is how you would expect. This has changed.
Take a look at 4.9.4 Inventory ( https://codehs.com/editor/130/181647/1410/1 )
This worked fine last year. Now, the dialog box asks for input. The input is taken. But nothing is written to the console until after the program is done. This makes following along with what the program is doing impossible. You keep entering numbers and don't see anything the program is writing to the console.
Worse, if you try to cancel the dialog box, you can't. You have to keep guessing. I couldn't quit, Ctrl-C, or even kill my browser. I had to enter every single number from 1-100 to get past this. (In a stroke of bad luck, the number the program wanted was 100).
Please fix this. If I have to grade a bunch of student work like this, it will be maddening.
